Held annually on the first Saturday in March in Fort Kent, Maine, the Can-Am Crown is one of North America’s premier sled dog races.
Mushers and teams compete across multiple distances, attracting competitors and spectators from across Canada and the United States. The event celebrates northern tradition, endurance, and outdoor life, while driving winter tourism.
This is the must attend event of the season. If you’re there on race day morning, stop by the Irving Woodlands’ hospitality tent on main street, for some complimentary hot chocolate and barbecued bites.
Irving Woodlands has been a long-time sponsor since 2005, sponsoring the 250-mile race, and funding awards for the top 12 finishers.
