Northern NB Engineering Scholarships
Program Summary
Opportunity for grade 12 graduates or mature students who live in northern New Brunswick and are interested in the field of engineering. The goal is to help develop local talent and create career opportunities within our sawmill and woodlands operations—in places close to home.
For this scholarship, northern New Brunswick encompasses the following counties: Northumberland, Gloucester, Restigouche, Madawaska, Victoria, and Carleton.
Eligible programs include accredited post-secondary institutions offering degrees in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Civil Engineering
The scholarship covers 50% of tuition, up to a maximum of $5,000 per year. Funding is paid at the beginning of each semester.
It also offers paid summer employment throughout the scholarship period. Eligibility for renewal is based on maintaining academic standing and strong work-term performance.
Upon graduation, recipients will be offered a full-time role within our northern New Brunswick operations.
Application Criteria
- Must be a resident of northern New Brunswick. Applicants can also be a current employee or a dependent (spouse or child) of an employee.
- Must provide proof of acceptance or enrollment to full-time or part-time studies in an eligible program.
- Must apply for a specific location/site and agree to participate in a paid work term.
- Must provide a copy of your resume and participate in a behavioral assessment and interview process.
- Must be a citizen or a Permanent Resident of Canada
